What is Hummingbird Hills? We aren't just a tree farm, though reestablishing the forest growth on our 12 acres, is a high priority. Our goal is to offer our guest a comfortable, relaxing, but adventurous stay! Our dream is still a work in progress, with many new avenues to explore. Fran and I have been in the building business for 25 years. Even with that experience we have felt like pioneers on this new land. We have many species of birds, from the bumble bee hummingbird to the green parrot and an occasional toucan.

Come and spend the night in one of our guest cabanas or tree houses, nestled among the gardens and groomed trails. Our cabanas offer queen size beds, large overhead fans, cool tile floors, private baths, and are fully screened. These amenities offer a comfortable nights sleep.

We welcome small groups with special interest. We can accommodate 10-12 people. Breakfast and dinner are available family style. Our opened air lounge is ideal for workshops. The whole experience of Belize and time spent at our farm is sure to inspire positive energy and creativity.

The Mopan River, is a 2 minute walk directly across from the farm. Take a cool swim or tube the falls, the wildlife is abundant.

Enjoy your first cup of coffee, while sitting on the Hummingbird Hills birdwatch, which overlooks the farm and neighboring Guatemala mountains. Early morning abounds with wildlife, Hummingbirds galore!

Our lounge is an open-air, thatched-roof, gathering area. Relax in the hammock with a cold drink and watch the hummingbirds buzz around you. This casual area, offers a growing library, board games, cold beer, soft drinks, wine, ice tea and bottled water.

The Sage Thyme Cafe' serves breakfast daily at 7:30 a.m. (earlier if arrangements are made ahead, sign up the night before). Dinners are served family style and include Mexican, Italian, and North American fare.

We are located 70 miles west of Belize City, 3 miles west of San Ignacio, the hub of tourist information. If you need a cool drink your first stop should be Eva's, located on Burns Ave. in San Ignacio. The owner, Bob Jones, can help you arrange transport out to Hummingbird Hills. You can take a taxi to Hummingbird Hills for $10.00 US or use the local collectiva to the center of Bullet Tree Village, we are a short walk, take your first left before the bridge onto Paslow Falls Rd, we are located about 1/3 of a mile on the left.

Come Enjoy!
